SCAN’s LGBTQ youth program, Gay Lesbian and Straight Supporters (GLASS), has created a new library in East Harlem featuring books written by for and about the LGBTQ populations. This space has been created to provide a much needed resource to the community not only for the youth who almost entirely lack representation in the mainstream media but also the larger community to have a safe space to learn and grow with the wide variety of identities with which they share the world.
