SCAN-Harbor is a co-founder of the Human Services Consortium of East Harlem.
Founded in 1984, this membership group brings together over 40 non-profit service providers and advocates to ensure, improve, and maintain the quality and delivery of social services and healthcare in East Harlem. SCAN-Harbor’s Executive Director, Lew Zuchman, serves as Chairperson of the Consortium.
SCAN-Harbor’s success has been due in large part to our many dedicated, long-term partnerships, with remarkable organizations such as the Hunter College School of Social Work, the New York Junior League, the New York Yankees, the Madison Square Garden “Garden of Dreams” Foundation, Projects With Care, the Fresh Air Fund, and United Neighborhood Houses.
