Black History Month Celebration at SCAN-Harbor’s Johnson Center

On the evening of February 16th, at SCAN-Harbor’s Johnson Center in East Harlem, Assemblymember Edward Gibbs and SCAN-Harbor will present a Black History Month Event honoring civic leaders in New York who have broken barriers to become the first African American to reach their esteemed position.

Invitees for the event include:

 

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg

New York State Attorney General Letitia James

New York City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell

New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams

New York State Governor David Paterson

 

 

The event will feature Award Presentations, Musical Entertainment, Refreshments, and more.
